Left/right is very good, and up/down is ok but the drop off seems to start just below horizontal. Fine for a bright office, but at night, with no room light, working on a white text document it is a bit bright. Out of the box gamma was cranked way up and that exacerbated it, but with gamma adjusted i still wish i could lower it a bit more.

It needed adjustment to get gamma and color right, but now it is great (search for "LCD monitor test images" for essential gamma adjustment.) Not for professional photo editing since the colors can shift a bit with angle, but not noticeably so without special testing.Ģ4" is a must for me, (same height at a 19", but wider) and it seemed big at first but now it is essential.Ĭons: No hdmi/hdcp, but you already know that.īrightness settings a little high. Good image quality, beautiful color, good range of adjustment. Viewsonic knows what they're doing and have a real winner here! Don't look at the thousands of reviews that the Asus's have. If you're looking for a sleek, stylish monitor at a great price, just buy this.

I am not using the speakers at all so I can't comment on those. The contrast and backlighting are phenomenal. This monitor has a vibrance that the Dell didn't. I still would go with this monitor in the end. And I could still see the screen with almost no color shift when looking at it from the side. Yes, colors were better represented on the Dell.

Some could say I downgraded by going to this monitor but I wanted something slightly bigger, and the fact that the Dell discolored after 2 years was concerning. I bought it to replace a 22" Dell 2209WA (eIPS panel) monitor that developed a yellow discoloration on the right side when viewing a white background. Overall Review: I've had this monitor for a week now. Stand is a bit wobbly if your desk isn't quite sturdy Power/Standby LED can be turned off in the menu Good control of brightness, contrast, and color settings Good sized, noticeably bigger than a typical 22" but not as overwhelming as a 27" I will post a picture of my set up when I get a chance - I plan to build a custom 3 panel wall mount.

Other than that I am completely satisfied with my current set up and in extended monitor mode I now have more screen real estate than I know what to do with - not a bad problem to have. I realize that the memory clocks must go up to eliminate flickering but they have gone from about 10% with one monitor to 100% with 3. Overall Review: I hate that my 5850 now idles around 50c with the multiple monitors. NOTE- in order to access brightness and contrast settings within the menu you have to select "user color" in "color mode." Menu settings are touch input and are the easiest monitor menus I've ever navigated. 5ms response time (I do video editing and some intense FPS gaming and I've never seen any motion blur/ghosting on these monitors) DVI input (cables are included for both D-SUB and DVI - if you need HDMI just use an adapter) VESA wall mount (100mm square plate style) Light weight design (feels like maybe 7lbs a piece without the stand) Thin black bezels (side bezels are roughly 1.5 cm and overlap easily due to the thinness of the monitors and curved edge, your mind quickly forgets about them)

No back light bleed at all once the brightness is adjusted (it comes out of the box a bit hot)Ĭons: Features: 10/10 - these have the exact feature set I was looking for Whites are bright, blacks are deep and colors are true All 3 displays came out of the box with identical color representation (some tweaks to contrast and brightness in CCC are all it took to correct any issues) This review will serve to satisfy others looking for monitors that have the same high standards for their future set ups.Ĭolor: 9/10 - I have a 23" Dell IPS at work and these monitors are as close as it comes to that without dropping 500 bucks on a single monitor. After reading through a ton of reviews for monitors that met my desired features and specs (21.5" - 24", accurate color representation, VESA mount, <$200, etc.) these hit the sweet spot. Pros: I recently bought three of these after a great deal of research to construct my eyefinity setup.
